Kingston Plantation is the Place to Be on May 1-3
The 145th Annual Session of the South Carolina Dental Association is rapidly approaching and I am hopeful you are planning to attend. Our convention committee has worked diligently to plan a meeting that will have outstanding CE opportunities, a filled exhibit hall and entertaining social events for everyone.
Drs. Carol Baker and Charlie Maxwell have worked tirelessly to secure outstanding speakers to give dentists and their staffs an interesting array of CE opportunities. Our slate of speakers for dentists include Dr. Alan Atlas (restorative/esthetics), Dr. Mike Ignelzi (pedodontics/ethics), Dr. Kelly Jones (antibiotics and pain medications) and Dr. Robert Faulkner (implants). Speakers for dentists and staffs include Ms. Anastasia Turchetta (hygiene), Ms. Mary Dittman (motivation/communication) and Mr. Dave Weber, a motivational speaker Dr. David Moss calls “the best speaker I have ever heard.” Rounding out our speaker slate is our infamous and always entertaining OSHA speaker, Dr. Charlie Hook.
Dr. Phil Bonds has worked long and hard to attract over 100 exhibitors with new and exciting products for your practice that can make it more enjoyable, profitable and prepared for improved patient care. As always, our exhibitors will offer convention specials and have on site new materials and equipment that you can see and evaluate.
Dr. David Moss, Dr. Bubba Machowski and our committee have done an exceptional job lining up a tremendous social calendar. Our planned events are sure to please everyone with fabulous food and fellowship, starting with the Welcome Reception on Thursday night. Friday Night we will be at Carolina Opry's for a barbeque and Low Country boil followed by the "Good Vibrations" program. This is sure to be a fun-filled evening that no one will want to miss.
Add to the mix the opportunities of golf at the Grande Dunes Members Course arranged by Dr. Carroll Player, the honoring of the SCDA awards recipients at the Awards Luncheon and the availability of the many other luncheons and drop-ins, and you have the ingredients for an outstanding meeting for everyone. The real bonus is that this all takes place in Myrtle Beach-a haven for sun, fun and outstanding dining.
Our convention committee can’t wait for the convention to begin and we hope you are planning to register as soon as possible. Our meeting will be even more exciting and successful if you are there! We look forward to seeing you at Kingston Plantation on May 1, 2014!
