As General Chairman for the 2012 South Carolina Dental Association' s Annual Session, I would like to welcome you. Our committee has been diligently working to develop a meeting that embraces our theme, Courage to Lead. The dynamics of our profession are changing more rapidly than perhaps at any other time in the history of dentistry. There are many areas in which we can choose to lead - practicing with the latest technology in our offices, becoming involved with organized dentistry, working more closely with our legislators, mentoring those new to the profession -- just to name a few. As you look over this year's meeting agenda, which includes continuing education topics, a listing of exhibitors, and the social events, our hope is that you will find many opportunities to develop the "tools" needed to accept this leadership challenge.As in years past, this meeting will be held at Kingston Plantation in Myrtle Beach on May 3-6, 2012.
