(Headquarters C, Naval Base, 96 and 98 Naval Way, North Charleston)
5:30 PM - 7:00 PM
($40 per person)

Please join our SCDA President, Dr. Rocky Napier '87, for this very nice opportunity to mingle with your friends and colleagues. This year our SCDA President's event will be a wine tasting held in the historic Quarters C building on the Naval Base in North Charleston. We have collaborated with a fine Charleston caterer to offer a number of European, South American and USA wines paired with specially selected hors d'ouevres. Wine experts will be present to train on the technique of wine tasting and answer questions about the wines we will be enjoying. It will be a very nice way to start out a Saturday evening in Charleston. The event will be indoor/outdoor weather permitting. Dress is casual. Space is limited to 76 people, so please register early. (Adult only event).

Quarters C is a two-story, 4,160 square foot, wood frame residential building constructed in 1906. The building was vacated by the Navy in 1996. Since that time a combination of factors contributed to its state of disrepair. Moisture from the leaking roof, an in-operable sump system, and the humid climate adversely affected interior and exterior finishes. SC STRONG residents completed the work on Quarters C in 2013 with volunteer technical assistance from local building trades companies.
