C.S. Lewis: Who He Was, Why He Matters and What He Had to Say about Dentists

"C. S. Lewis (1898-1963) was an Oxford professor and Christian writer who was quite sure that his immense popularity would fade soon after he died (which happened to be on the same day President Kennedy was assassinated). Instead, six decades later, his life and writings - from the children's tales of The Chronicles of Narnia to the more challenging Mere Christianity - hold ever-growing appeal. In this short lecture, we will canvas the major points of interest in Lewis's life and reflect on why he seems to connect with so many millions of readers across the globe today. We'll also consider why he was fond of comparing the real spiritual life to going to the dentist!"
