Esthetic Indirect Restorations: Treatment Planning, Materials & Execution

Providing patients with an exceptional esthetic outcome is a rewarding experience. However, some cases present unique challenges that make it difficult to visualize creating an esthetic result. This course will present a systematic approach to optimize esthetics in your treatment planning. Additionally, we will discuss the indications for various restorative materials and techniques to maximize outcomes for indirect restorations.

  1. Understand how to treatment plan with the end esthetic result in mind
  2. Understand how diagnostic mockups can be used to improve predictability
  3. Understand indications for various indirect restorative materials and cementation techniques

Dr. Amelia Orta

DMD, FACP

Dr. Orta is Board Certified with the American Board of Prosthodontics and is both a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists. Dr. Orta is a Clinical Assistant Professor with the University of Maryland School of Dentistry where she enjoys sharing her passion for minimally invasive restorative dentistry with the Pre-doctoral students, Prosthodontic residents and Perio/Prosth fellows. Prior to academia, Dr. Orta practiced in Washington, DC. Dr. Orta is past Editor-in-Chief to the American College of Prosthodontists Messenger publication. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Orta enjoys spending time with her husband and family on their 100-year-old horse farm.
